festival-te software package provides festival text to speech synthesizer for Telugu (te) language, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install festival-te
festival-te is installed in your system.
Make ensure the festival-te package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep festival-te *
You will get with festival-te package name, version, architecture and description in a table
